pipe dreams

(via)

Today Jena and I are entertaining fantasies of picking up our lives and moving somewhere new. Yes, it crosses my mind at least twice a week to pack up my bags and head somewhere else. Realistic? Probably not. Dreamy? Totally.

I love the possibilities that are out there. New city, new people, new things to learn. Of course I love home. But Arkansas will always be around. Why shouldn't we move now while we can? (This argument is usually what gets me in trouble.)

Here are my top five places I would pack up and leave for....
  1. Chicago (obvious choice)
  2. Southern California (for the weather mostly)
  3. Austin, Tx. (culture, culture, culture!)
  4. Paris, France (I'd be there in a heartbeat if I could)
  5. Charleston, South Carolina (say it with me: east coast, southern charm)
If you could live anywhere, where would you head? Have you ever picked up and moved? I want to hear. Give me inspiration!

  1. Totally a dreamy idea- especially on a Monday! I'd pick up and move to Boston, Massachusetts. I love all the history on the east coast, and I've never been to Boston yet, so I'm game to go!

  2. I think about this all the time too. I agree with you for the most part. I feel like I'll end up in Arkansas, but I feel like there's too much else to see to live here my whole life. Most of all I want to check out South America (Argentina probably), and domestically I want to at least visit Northern California.

  4. Leah, I have a friend who lives in Boston and he raves about it all the time! Sounds like a fun place to live in your twenties.

Aaron, If you move to South America--I'll come visit you for sure! Always wanted to go there.

  6. Oooh! I am a firm believer that everyone should live in the city at least once in their life. If only for a year or two. And even better since you've got a partner in crime!
